In the Noble Qur’an, Allah, the Most High, illustrates numerous allegories of worldly life to remind believers of its reality and significant dangers. Allah, the Most High, states:
“The life of this world is like the rain We send down from the sky, which brings forth a variety of vegetation that humans and animals consume. Then, when the earth appears at its finest, adorned with beauty, and its inhabitants believe they have full control over it, Our command arrives, whether by night or day, and We reduce it to stubble as if it had never flourished. Thus, We make Our signs clear for those who reflect.” (Surah Yunus: 24)
Within this text, readers will encounter over 20 parables of this worldly life, as elucidated by the eminent Islamic scholar, Imam Ibn al-Qayyim. These parables, extracted from the author’s esteemed work, ‘Uddat as-Sabirīn, carry profound significance.
