Negation of the Superstition of Contagion series
2nd Edition | Abu Iyaad Amjad Ibn Muhammad Rafiq
This work presents the commentary of Shaykh Salih al-Luhaydan (رحمه الله) on the subject matter of contagion. His statements are taken from his recorded explanations of Kitab al-Tawhid.
In his viewpoint and explanation of the texts pertaining to contagion, the Shaykh has followed the way of the scholars of the past such as Abu Ubayd al-Qaasim bin Sallaam, Imam Ahmad, al-Tahaawi, al-Tabari, ibn Khuzaymah (رحمهم الله) and others.
In this view lies the negation of the concept of contagion and its alleged effect which has adverse effects upon creed and behaviour. It cuts off healthy people from their beneficial activities, eroding certainty of belief in al-Qadar and undermining strength of reliance.
In this view, protection of creed is the paramount consideration and it is the higher wisdom that connects all of the various Prophetic traditions in this subject together in a coherent, non-contradictory manner.
